One of the most frustrating things about web site advertising is that they will say anything to get you to go to the site. For instance “Free Bankruptcy” really, nothing is free and when you click you find out its not. Second “The only Law Firm that offers – fill in the blank. Chances are its not the only law firm that offers the alleged great deal. One local firm advertises they are the only firm offering $999 bankruptcy’s – 1) its not true. 2) there are firms that charge less. Then there is the famous – no money down. What does that get you? Or “Only $100 to start the process” what process is that? Once you put that $100 down you don’t want to loose it, so you end up paying more. The lesson is, shop around, call, talk to the attorney. Most attorneys wont talk to you, if they wont talk to you when they are trying to get you to hire them imagine what it will be like after you pay them. Don’t fall for the flashy add, look for value and competence.
