Many people I counsel are of the opinion that outstanding judgments are not dischargeable in Bankruptcy, or that they can not retrieve repossessed property once the Creditor has taken possession. While Creditors may want you to believe those things, the facts are that outstanding judgments can generally be discharged and if you file before the sale of your repossessed property we can get it back for you. So if your vehicle has been repossessed or a judgment entered against you, don’t despair, you have options under the Bankruptcy Code.
